About Me
My name is Drew Kaplan, a 26-year old rabbinical student at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah. I am in year three (out of four) of my rabbinical studies in addition to a preparatory (mekhinah) year* that I spent before starting my rabbinical studies here.
I was born in Columbus, OH and raised in Gahanna, OH, studying in the Gahanna Jefferson School system for primary and secondary education. After graduating, I studied at Yeshiva University (also spending a semester at the Derech Institute) and Indiana University, graduating with a Jewish Studies degree. After Indiana University, I studied at the Center Program before beginning my studies at YCT.
*The year in which I was in the Mekhinah Program at YCT was the inaugural year of the program. The program's name has since been switched to being called the Beit Midrash Program.
